JACKSON, Tenn. – The University of Memphis baseball team has been right on the edge of returning to the NCAA Regional. 35 wins wasn’t enough in 2013, and last year’s 30-29 record ended with the same result. The Tigers believe their regional drought ends this season. “I really feel like that’s the climate in the locker room and it’s been that way since day one of fall practice,” said head coach Daron Schoenrock. “We’ve been so close the past two years, and have a number of guys back from those two clubs.” Coach Schoenrock visited Jackson on Monday in anticipation for his March game at the Jackson Generals field. “Treat it as an opportunity for the students of the Lambuth campus to come out and wear Tiger blue.” The Tigers play MTSU on March 11 at the Ballpark at Jackson.
