2014 Jackson Man of the Year honored

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Exchange Club honored the city of Jackson’s 2014 Man of the Year Tuesday night. Jackson native and president and CEO of West Tennessee Healthcare Bobby Arnold is this year’s honoree. Arnold was recognized for his continuing efforts to make Jackson a better place to live. As the Man of the Year speech got rolling, dozens of Arnold’s family members and friends entered and lined the room to surprise him. Arnold described the honor as a bit overwhelming, yet quite an honor. “I was here thinking I was going to say some words about someone else, so it was a big, big surprise, and I’m very humbled to be honored and recognized with the previous recipients of this,” Arnold said. “It means a lot to me.” Arnold is a Union University graduate and former Jackson police officer. Tuesday night marked the 69th annual recognition dinner.
