Jackson attorney’s license suspended

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson attorney Clayton Mayo has his license suspended for three years by the state supreme court. Mayo, whose office is on North Highland Avenue in north Jackson, cannot practice law for a full year and then will be on probation for two. The Board of Professional Responsibility said it has received six complaints of misconduct, including missed trial dates and neglecting client matters. According to the board, Mayo entered a conditional guilty plea admitting to the misconduct.
