SAVANNAH, Tenn. — The state of Tennessee is offering $10,000 in hopes of solving a cold case homicide. Savannah police said Otylier Callens was found dead in her living room with a plastic bag wrapped around her and her purse beside her with a torn strap. This led family to believe she fought for her life before it was taken. “We have information, evidence, that leads us in a direction, but we need just a little bit more, and we believe there’s somebody out there that has the information,” Chief Gary Will Jr. said. In a statement, Gov. Bill Haslam said, “We believe someone out there can be helpful to authorities in this case and encourage anyone with information to contact local authorities so those responsible can be brought to justice.” Investigators hope justice will soon be served. “This type of crime is something that just shocks everybody, and she deserves to have it solved and we’re hoping people will step forward,” Will said. Anyone with information that could help solve this case is asked to call the Savannah Police Department at 731-925-4989.
