Apartment searches lead to three drug arrests in Martin

WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — Three people are facing drug charges after two apartment searches Friday in Martin. Weakley County deputies and Martin police executed search warrants at two separate apartments on Lakeview Circle. During one of the searches, officers arrested two people after finding about a pound of marijuana along with a .380 semiautomatic pistol and $500 cash, according to a release from the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department. Kelvin Antwon Turner, 32, and Courtney Thomas, 28, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to resale. Thomas also was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm. In the other search, officers found about two pounds of marijuana, according to the release. They arrested Christina Stepp, 35, and charged her with possession of marijuana with intent to resale. All three people charged will be arraigned in general sessions court.
