JACKSON, Tenn. — A new airline is landing at McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport. The Department of Transportation has awarded a two-year contract to St. Louis-based airline Air Choice One. The airline will begin service out of the McKellar-Sipes early this summer. The area’s new air carrier also is introducing a new hub, with passengers now able to fly to Lambert–St. Louis International Airport. “This is welcome news that Air Choice One has been selected as the new commercial air service provider for Jackson and West Tennessee,” Mayor Jerry Gist said in a statement. “We are very pleased with the teamwork of Jackson-Madison County Airport Authority Staff and Board, the Chamber, Madison County, the city of Jackson, and the public interest from those who weighed in with comments to help make a decision on what would be best for this region.”
