JACKSON, Tenn. — West Tennesseans did not have to go any farther than the bread aisle at the grocery store to see bad weather is on its way. Shoppers rushed to grocery stores Wednesday to stock up. In winter weather fashion, the bread supply was low and the dairy section was frequented. One shopper said he was shocked by how many other shoppers were in the store. “I went to get a second item in the grocery store and I turned around to come back, and there was like five more people in line getting out, so it’s kinda crazy,” Frank Romeo said. “It’s going to be cold.” Safety experts advise keeping non-perishable food and water in your car in case you get stuck on the roads.
