JACKSON, Tenn.- Because of the dangerous road conditions, Jackson sanitation officials were unable to pick up trash Thursday, but are hopeful about tomorrow. Officials said because of ice and snow on the streets, Waste Management is delaying services until the roads are clear. Once they are, crews will work past regular hours to make pickups. “Hopefully if the weather permits, they will run (Friday) and Saturday to make up for (Thursday), said Kathleen Huneycutt, director of the sanitation department. Huneycutt said the roads must be safe for crews before they can set out.
