UT Martin eliminated by Morehead in OVC Quarterfinals

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Morehead State’s men’s basketball team defeated the University of Tennessee at Martin 76-65 at Municipal Auditorium. “My hat is off to Morehead, I think they played really well,” said UT Martin first-year head coach Heath Schroyer. “They sped us up and we were never able to play in the flow which would make us successful. They dictated the game and we had a hard time getting into a solid offensive flow.” UT Martin struggled from the field on Thursday, making 20 of 54 (37 percent). UTM junior Alex Anderson finished with a career high with 23 points. Morehead will play Murray State in the Ohio Valley Conference semifinals on Friday.
