JACKSON, Tenn. — With seven teams coming to Jackson for the NCAA tournament, it could mean a nice boost for the Hub City’s economy. Union officials say each team will require hotel accommodations and food while they’re here, not to mention the fans they bring along. The Jackson Chamber says these kinds of events create a win-win situation for the community. “We know that for every over night guest that comes to Jackson and spends the night they generate about $391 dollars for the local economy per day, so that’s great,” said Ryan Porter of the Jackson Chamber. “Everybody wins, and we are excited to have them and wish the Bulldogs luck.” Stay with WBBJ 7 Eyewitness Sports and Justin Walters for more from both the men and women’s teams and their path to an NCAA championship.
