Tractor-trailer overturns near I-40 exit

NORTH JACKSON — A tractor-trailer hauling water overturned Tuesday afternoon near Exit 82 on Interstate 40. The truck was the only vehicle involved, and the driver was not injured, police said. Crews on scene said the truck hit the median and overturned. The water in the tanker was spilled in the accident. The wreck occurred around 2:15 p.m. on the westbound side of Exit 82 near North Highland Avenue, and one westbound lane of I-40 was temporarily closed. A wrecker responded to the scene to clear the area.
