JACKSON, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation announced Wednesday the launch of a new plan to fix the state-wide pothole problem. New, warmer temperatures likely will only add to the collateral damage left by our winter weather. In each of TDOT’s four regions, a five- to six-man crew is now working with hot mix asphalt to give a more permanent solution. TDOT officials say workers are trying their best to make repairs during off-peak travel time, but drivers should still be ready for some delays. If you spot a pothole, you can alert TDOT by calling 1-877-SMART-WAY or by emailing them.
