JACKSON, Tenn. — Starting this fall, the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus will offer a pre-law minor. The university said students interested in going to law school can take pre-law classes such as criminal justice or political science. University of Memphis at Lambuth Vice Provost Dr. Niles Reddick said the school will not have to hire additional staff to accommodate the new program. The university hopes having a pre-law minor will be a beneficial tool when recruiting prospective students. “Coming here first, getting a bachelor’s degree and taking some pre-law classes will make them a little bit better prepared I think to get into law school,” Reddick said. The school said the Lambuth campus currently has about 850 students and that they plan to have more than 1,000 enrolled next fall.
