DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson man is facing a variety of charges after a traffic stop, including theft, drug possession and resisting arrest. Jarvis Raynard Miller Jr. was pulled over Wednesday night by Jackson police. During a search after officers thought they smelled marijuana, Miller reportedly took off on foot. Inside the car, police say they found a .9 mm handgun and half a gram of marijuana, and outside the car a marijuana cigar Miller was said to be smoking at the time he was pulled over. Miller is out of jail after posting a $20,000 bond.
