Man accused of assaulting friend with own crutches

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man was arrested for a scene at his apartment early Thursday that ended with him allegedly beating his friend with his own crutches, all over an argument about a girl who was supposedly there at the time. Christoper Leon Johnson is charged with aggravated assault and possession of drug paraphernalia. Court papers say police found a crack pipe in Johnson’s front jacket pocket. He is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
