Sheriff: Woman dies of natural causes in Obion Co. Jail
OBION COUNTY, Tenn. — A 60-year-old inmate has been found dead in the Obion County Jail. Sheriff Jerry Vastbinder says the woman died of natural causes Tuesday night. The state medical examiner’s office says she had severe lung disease. Vastbinder says because the woman was a federal inmate, he cannot release her name or booking photo. However, he is able to confirm she was from Brownsville and had been jailed since Feb. 25 on prescription drug abuse charges.
