JACKSON, Tenn. — Mayoral candidate Lowe Finney said the official kickoff for his campaign began Thursday, and he’s looking forward to hearing from potential voters at his headquarters in downtown Jackson. Finney said the new headquarters at 210 East Lafayette Street is ready for action. They already have a few dozen volunteers and an app to connect with voters. The headquarters is a place where everyone can come together to focus on how to get through the next 50 days. “It’s for those who want to help us out every day, whether it be answering phone calls or coordinating people to help get our message out,” Finney said. Mayor Jerry Gist opened his headquarters at 114 South Liberty Street. Contenders James Baxter, Charles Motton and Tim York have not opened headquarters for the 2015 Jackson mayoral election.
