DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man is charged with aggravated assault after court papers say he threatened to hurt a man in the Chili’s parking lot. Robert Charles Neumann allegedly went to grab a baseball bat before the victim, having a handgun carrying permit, reached for his weapon, never unholstering the gun or unbuckling himself from his car, according to court documents. Neumann then reportedly fled the scene. He has since posted a $7,500 bond.
