JACKSON, Tenn. — The four dogs found last week in east Jackson among three dead ones have been rescued from Rabies Control. The executive director of Companions Pet Rescue said the dogs need a lot of medical care before they can be adopted. She said at least three of the four will need amputations. The rescue said according to their veterinarian, the dogs suffered injuries consistent with being hit with a baseball bat. Their medical costs are expected to exceed $5,000. Jackson police continue to look for who abandoned the seven dogs.
