Farming community celebrates Ag Day in Carroll County

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — Farmers and agricultural businesses celebrated National Ag Week by hosting Carroll County Ag Day on Friday. Carroll County Farm Bureau, local farmers and agriculture-related businesses held the event at the National Guard Armory in Huntingdon. County fifth graders attended from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and the community was invited from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The students were able to visit 20 stations to learn about how food and fiber products are produced, the history of farming and about farming equipment.
