DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The man charged in an attempted bank robbery in Humboldt that ended in a bank employee being shot appeared Tuesday morning in federal court in Jackson. Dominic Williams, 39, pleaded not guilty to all three charges he faces in the attempted bank robbery and shooting. He was ordered detained and remains in custody of U.S. Marshals. Williams, who recently relocated to Humboldt from California, was indicted Monday on one count of attempted bank robbery, one count of using a dangerous weapon and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. If convicted, Williams will face a statutory maximum sentence of life in federal prison, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. The bank employee is recovering at home from the gunshot wounds she sustained during the attempted robbery.
