Earth Day Festival
The Earth Day festival is a way to find out how you can green your life style. There will environmental booths for both adults and children along with fun activities. Booths include recycled art & furniture, Jackson Tree Board, Discovery Museum, Girl & Boy Scouts, 4-H, JEA, TVA, and solar power just to give you an idea. We will have a Family Scavenger Hunt which leads you though the exhibits and prize drawings for teams that complete the hunt. There will be an Environmental Magician that will do 3 shows dealing litter prevention & recycling. Live music will be playing in the amphitheater throughout the day. E-recycling Recycling to give garbage another life, conserve space in the landfill and natural resources. Also there will be a community yard sale, 5K run/walk, Household Hazardous Waste Collect and E-Waste collection.
