Jackson police ask for help to ID men in alleged truck theft

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police need the public’s help identifying two persons of interest in the alleged theft of a pickup truck. Police responded around 2:40 a.m. March 25 to a wreck near Morgan and Johnson streets where an unoccupied black Ford Ranger pickup had struck a pole, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. Officers contacted the owner of the truck who said it had been stolen from the Maple Street area. Two subjects were captured in security video taking the truck just before midnight March 24, according to police. The first subject is described as a black man wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants and black shoes. The second subject is described as a black man wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants and dark shoes.
