Quake felt across West Tennessee

JACKSON, Tenn.- Viewers across West Tennessee reported feeling an earthquake on the night of April 1st, 2015 from across northwest Tennessee to Savannah to and even Jackson! It appears that tonight’s shaking was the result of a 3.6 magnitude earthquake that struck at 10:51:43pm CDT, 40 kilometers west of Dyersburg. So far, no damage has been reported other than shaking structures and swinging light fixtures. Preliminary findings suggest that this may have been one of the strongest earthquakes to occur east of the Rocky Mountains since a 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck north of Little Rock, AR on June 4, 2014. Please relay all reports of damage to the National Weather Service in Memphis.
