South Side’s Barford named All-American

JACKSON, Tenn. – South Side grad Jaylen Barford was an integral part of the Hawks 2014 Class AA State Championship. The Jackson native is adding a new title to his resume: All-American. Barford was recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association for his impressive freshman year at Motlow Community College. The former Hawk averaged 20.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.4 steals per game.
