One injured in east Jackson shooting

EAST JACKSON — Shots rang out at an East Jackson basketball court Saturday afternoon. According to Jackson police, two men were walking back from the D&L grocery store on Roosevelt Parkway when shots were fired from the basketball court area. Investigators say a 20-year-old black male was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Officers could be seen combing the nearby woods for evidence to lead to a suspect. No arrest have been made. If you have any information, you’re asked to call Jackson police or Crime Stoppers.
