WEST JACKSON — WBBJ took a look Tuesday into what soon will become the Safe Hope Family Justice Center. The center is the result of a yearlong plan by the city to aid local agencies who work with domestic violence victims. The center will be located in the former women’s clinic building on Roland Avenue in west Jackson. The site coordinator says it’s the perfect place for the center to call home. “Because this was once a sports rehab and women’s clinic, there’s a lot of open space so we’ve got to build some interior offices,” site coordinator Jennifer McCraw said. WRAP, the police department’s domestic violence unit, the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, West Tennessee Legal Services and Pathways all will have offices in this building.
