Man charged in TitleMax robbery appears in court

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man accused of robbing a Jackson business at gunpoint appeared Thursday in Jackson City Court. Bobby L. Anderson was arrested March 30 following a robbery at TitleMax on North Highland Avenue. Employees told police a man entered the store around 5 p.m. armed with a silver revolver and demanded money, taking more than $4,000, according to an affidavit. An officer and a K-9 tracked from where the employees said they last saw the man, and they found Anderson hiding in a wooded area, the document states. Police say they found more than $4,000 in cash in Anderson’s socks. Documents state they also found a silver revolver and clothes matching the employees’ description near Anderson. Employees also identified Anderson, according to the affidavit. Anderson is charged with aggravated robbery and felon in possession of a firearm. The judge set his bond at $100,000.
