Martin community rallies for Anna Kate

MARTIN, Tenn. — Community members in Martin brought Disney princesses to the park to help raise money for Anna Kate, a 21-month-old girl diagnosed with brain cancer. Anna Kate couldn’t be at the event because her cancer is spreading and her treatment didn’t allow her to attend. Hundreds came to be a part of a 5K race, 1- and 2-mile walk/run, outdoor activities and a lunch. It’s estimated more than a thousand came out to the event, and about $20,000 was raised to help the family with Anna Kate’s medical costs.
