MILAN, Tenn. — Firefighters responded to a house fire in Milan late Tuesday morning. Crews said it took them about ten minutes to get the flames under control. The woman who lives in the home said she came home and saw flames. “When we entered, we did a primary search and found no one inside,” said Chief Steven Dillard of the Milan Fire Department. “About 15 to 20 percent of the home was engulfed with fire. The rest sustained smoke and water damage.” Firefighters on the scene said they believe the fire started near the washer and dryer. However, an exact cause had not been determined.
