Nearly 3,800 ballots already cast in early voting for Jackson mayor

JACKSON, Tenn. — As of Thursday, officials with the Madison County Election Commission said 416 voters cast ballots at the Madison County Agricultural Auditorium located at 311 North Parkway in Jackson. A total of 3,795 people have now voted in this election. Election officials told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News, this exceeds 3,085 which is the number of voters who voted in the entire election four years ago in 2011. They also said the number of votes also exceeded 3,785 which is the number of early voters in the 2007 City of Jackson. A total of 7,941 voters participated in the 2007 election. Early votes can be cast through April 30 at the Madison County Agriculture Complex at 311 North Parkway. Voting hours are from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday. Only registered voters who live in the Jackson city limits are eligible to vote in this election.
