JACKSON, Tenn. — A soccer tournament this weekend will bring thousands to the Hub City, and officials say that’s good news for the city’s bottom line. A total of 85 teams from five states are registered to participate in the Jackson Futbol Club’s “Wolves Weekend Challenge” at North Park. It could mean a crowd of more than 5,000 people. City tourism officials say they’ll see a difference in hotel revenue and for other businesses as well. The Jackson Futbol Club says this is the first spring tournament it’s held. The tournament continues through Sunday.
