School bus collides with car in east Jackson wreck

EAST JACKSON — Two people are transported to a local hospital Tuesday after a school bus collides with a car. The wreck occurred just before 5 p.m. on Hays Avenue. The two people in the car complained of head and neck pain and were transported with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries. The bus driver and four children on the bus were not transported. According to officers on scene, the bus was traveling southbound and pulling out into traffic when it hit the northbound car in the rear driver’s side door.
