Tennessee archives to hold workshop on digital resources
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The Tennessee State Library and Archives is announcing a free workshop about using digital resources that include maps, photos and other materials of historical significance.
The workshop titled “Surveying Tennessee’s Digital Resources” is scheduled to be held on the morning of May 30 at the archives building just west of the state Capitol in Nashville.
The workshop will be led by Assistant State Archivist Wayne Moore and is designed to give hands-on training and hints for sifting through photographs, documents, maps, postcards and film and audio files. Online records also include two sets of detailed maps related to the Civil War.
While the workshop is free, officials say reservations are needed because of limited seating.
