DRESDEN, Tenn. – Spring football is taking on a new meaning in Weakley County. Dresden and Westview alumni are getting together on Saturday for their first annual Black and Blue Bowl. “After a couple of licks, it will all come back,” smiled Dresden captain Jake Doster. The inaugural event will be full contact and is anticipating nearly 100 players. Both sides are excited to show they still have some moves left in the tank. “We have one father-son duo playing, two sets of brothers, and three sets of cousins. Most of them have never played together,” said Westview captain Blake Stigall. Practices leading up to the game have been non-contact. All participating players will be fitted for jerseys and equipment on game-day. Admission is $10. Proceeds from the game will be split between both schools. Kickoff is at 7 .p.m. on Saturday at Dresden High School.
