JACKSON, Tenn. — With election day right around the corner, we’re highlighting the three city council seats that are contested in Tuesday’s election. A total of nine seats make up the council. In District Nine, we spoke with candidates David Cisco and Jerry Truelove. We asked them why they think they deserve the position. “I represent the people,” Cisco said. “I’m their servant, and I try to instill in them that I’m available for them whatever their needs might be concerning city services and so forth.” “I think he has lost communication with the people in District Nine,” Truelove said. “I don’t think they know him, and I don’t think that they’ve seen enough out of him in the years since he’s been on the council.” Election day is May 5.
