Incumbents hold seats in city council race

JACKSON, Tenn. — With the unofficial final results in for the Jackson Municipal Election, the incumbents in the three contested races for Jackson City Council have each held onto their seats. In District 2, Johnny Dodd kept his seat with 67 percent of the vote versus challenger Corliss Mercer-Johnson’s 33 percent. In the District 3 race, incumbent Ernest Brooks Jr. was re-elected with 64 percent over challenger Robert Curlin’s 36 percent. Round out the contested races, David Cisco held his District 9 seat over challenger Jerry Truelove, with 68 percent of the vote over Truelove’s 32 percent.
