Woman accused of threatening to kill teen girl

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A woman appeared Wednesday in Jackson City Court on accusations of holding a stick to a 14-year-old girl’s throat and threatening to kill her. Sarah Frances Hamilton is charged with aggravated assault in the incident that took place around 10 p.m. April 21, according to court documents. The juvenile told police Hamilton backed her into a corner in the basement of a residence on Massachusetts Street, held a stick against her throat and said “You know I can kill you, right?” The victim is a friend of Hamilton’s family, according to the affidavit. Police say she had minor scrapes and a small bruise on her neck. Hamilton is free on a $2,500 bond.
