OBION COUNTY, Tenn. — Two bodies found Friday afternoon at a residence in Obion have been sent to Memphis for autopsies. The bodies were found around 12:30 p.m. Friday inside a residence on Troy Avenue, according to Mayor Rodney Underwood. He said it was a man and woman around 50 to 55 years old who were dating. The pair appeared to have been dead for some time, maybe three or four weeks, according to Police Chief Randy O’Dell. Officials have not released the names of the deceased. A Pathways employee made a house call to the residence and called police when no one would answer the door, according to police. The Obion Police Department is handling the case and is investigating the cause of the deaths. They still are awaiting a coroner’s report. O’Dell said he does not believe there is a threat to the community in connection with this case. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News will have more information as it becomes available.
