JACKSON, Tenn. – Madison Academic’s soccer team is getting hot at the right time. The Mustangs avenged last year’s District 15 A-AA Championship loss by beating Haywood 3-0 on Thursday. Next up for Madison is Raleigh Egypt on Tuesday. “They’re the one thing that’s standing in our way from our ultimate goal,” said head coach Jacob Long. “We have to get through them first. Coming off a district championship is great motivation. ” The Mustangs were eliminated by CPA in the Class A-AA State semifinals last season.
