GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Officers believe a man they say stole a trailer from a driveway in Humboldt may have sold another stolen trailer to someone in the Jackson area. Deputies arrested Robert Lyons, 55, of Milan, on May 6 after someone reported seeing a man take a utility trailer from a driveway on State Route 186, according to a release from the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators with the Dyer Police Department then identified Lyons as a suspect in a trailer theft that took place in April. Officers are investigating other trailer thefts in the Gibson County area from the past few months. Anyone who bought a trailer from anyone resembling Lyons or knows someone who did is asked to call the Gibson County Sheriff‘s Office at 731-855-1121. Lyons is charged with one count of theft up to $500 and one count of theft over $500. He is being held at the Gibson County Correctional Complex in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
