Woman charged with threatening child’s father, vandalizing car
DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A woman appeared in city court Monday on accusations of sending threatening texts to the father of her child and vandalizing his car. Officers arrested Mariea Akines Saturday on outstanding warrants from April. Court documents say last month she threatened to kill her child’s father and his family through various text messages, then broke out a window on his car and flattened two tires. She also is accused of lying to officers when they questioned her on Saturday Akines is being held in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
