JCS theater program brings home Orpheum award

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson Christian School’s theater production of “The Beauty and the Beast” took home an Orpheum award Monday night and earned nominations for three others. The theater program won for Outstanding Costume Design at the Orpheum Awards in Memphis. The program also was recognized with nominations for Best Production Number, Best Artistic Element and Best Featured Actor, Will Crowe. Three JCS students — Olivia Dunn, Abby Bowen and April Volner — also performed in a large group number with other schools.
