House destroyed, cats killed in Obion Co. fire

OBION COUNTY, Tenn. — Firefighters from Fulton, Ky., and Union City responded Tuesday to an Obion County house fire. Nobody was at home when first responders showed up, but four cats that belonged to the house’s owner died in the fire. Eighteen firefighters worked the blaze for nearly four hours. Still, the scene is called a total loss. Officials wouldn’t call the fire suspicious, but the cause is still under investigation.
