Man charged in Carroll Co. arsons

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — An arson suspect believed to be responsible for three separate fires in Carroll County has now been charged. James Terry Ray was charged Wednesday with three separate counts of arson. He was a juvenile at the time of the alleged crimes but will be tried as an adult. Between Sept. 3 and Oct. 20, Ray allegedly set fire to three separate structures, including the Vale Fire Department. A home on Highway 114 and the Whistle Stop Cafe in Hollow Rock also were damaged.
