Man injured in north Jackson motorcycle accident

NORTH JACKSON — A man has been transported to a local hospital Wednesday evening after a motorcycle wreck. The driver of the motorcycle was transported with serious injuries around 5:30 after the accident on Weatheridge Road, according to paramedics on scene. There was no word on whether the injuries are life threatening. An eyewitness told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the driver of the motorcycle laid down the bike when a driver ahead of him was turning into a driveway. The bike then flipped, causing the driver to be thrown, tumbling down the road before coming to rest in the middle of the street. A wrecker was on scene recovering the motorcycle.
