Bradford police investigating late evening shooting

BRADFORD, Tenn. — Bradford police are investigating a shooting that may have stemmed from a domestic incident on Thursday night. According to officers on the scene, they received a shots fired call around 8:45 p.m. in the 200 block on West Main Street. Police said the incident started when a husband and wife were fighting and the woman left and went to a friend’s house. The husband then followed his wife to that home on Main Street where he proceeded to pepper spray a person on the property, according to investigators. Officers said a person then came out of the home and began shooting at the woman’s husband, but he was not injured. A man was taken into custody at the scene, but police have not released his identity or what charges he may face.
