Humboldt police seek man in shooting

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Police are investigating a Thursday afternoon shooting that sent one man to the hospital. The victim told police he was walking in the woods beside his home in the area of the Hillside Drive community when a man on a four-wheeler approached him and began talking to him, according to a release from the Humboldt Police Department. The man driving then four-wheeler then attempted to rod the man and shot him once before fleeing on the four-wheeler. The victim was transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. He was released later in the day. The gunman is described as a white male, about six feet tall with dark eyes and hair, according to the release. He was wearing a camouflage jacket and pants.
