CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — A brazen break-in has deputies in Crockett County asking for help from the public. The sheriff says around 3:45 Monday morning, the safe inside this Dollar General in friendship was yanked from the store. Officers say surveillance shows one person break in, wrap a chain around the safe and pull it out, likely with a vehicle. It’s a more bold burglary than investigators are used to seeing. “They cut their way through and go in and disable the alarm system. That’s the way it’s always been in the past,” Sheriff Troy Kylce said. “But in this particular one, they wasn’t concerned with the alarm system. They busted through and was in and out in just a few minutes.” The sheriff says despite only one person appearing on surveillance, they are confident there was at least one more accomplice. Call the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office at 731-696-2104 if you can help.
