Search for suspect ends in Hardin County
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — A manhunt in Hardin County comes to a close early Saturday morning after the Tennessee Highway Patrol said a traffic stop turned into a multi-agency search for William Skelton. THP officials said a trooper pulled over Skelton on Highway 114. After a pat down, the trooper went to his car to check Skelton’s information, and Skelton took off on foot into a nearby wooded area. K-9s and a helicopter helped in the search, and the 32-year-old Illinois man was found Saturday morning. Skelton faces drug charges and felony evading on foot.
